What is Across America for Wounded Heroes?
C. Ivan Stoltzfus is an auctioneer and real estate broker, as well as a retired farmer. He divides his time between Honey Brook, PA and Sarasota, FL. Ivan grew up farming with John Deere tractors and loved the sound of the 2 cylinder engine. He dreamed of a cross country adventure on an old John Deere tractor to see the United States of America and to raise funds for a special mission.
The goal of the endeavor was to bring recognition and support for the many heroes of the USA — hurting men and women who sacrificed of themselves for our nation's freedom. The mission raised over $110,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project. Which the Waterloo Boys take great pride in.
The Waterloo Boys not only advised C. Ivan on which John Deere tractor to drive across America - they also found the perfect one for him. A 1949 Model A. Waterloo Boys also had an integral part in getting the AAfWH tractor road worthy. As well as maintenance tips along Ivan's 3,600 mile journey. There were many skeptics on how the tractor would preform running acorss the country, but the Waterloo Boys never had any doubt.
